Many of Madoka’s paintings provide a close up view of imaginary red or pink flowers. Ten examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. These flowers most closely ressemble quince (Chaenomeles spp.) but Madoka explains that she is more interested in painting flower colors than in depicting real world species.
